My name is Francous Louw. I arrived in Germany during 2013 and set up a happy little family in Munich with my German partner and three kids. On arrival I did not realize what was waiting for me in a foreign country with a foreign language.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Life and work culture in Germany is very different from South Africa. Initially I really missed my life back in Africa. I slowly started adapting to the local life and conditions and started to see and realize that Germany has a lot of beauty with great quality of life to offer to my lovely family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My motto in life is \u201cLove goes through ones stomach\u201d. I plan to devote more time to making a difference and let love go through many experiences of my valued customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a passionate chef, I completed my profile and studies with a German examination in culinary cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During my studies to become a Chef at Feinkost-K\u00e4fer, I always enjoyed the journey but deep down I missed something, I missed my culture and felt that I needed to bring it into my South African style and outdoor culinary culture to my new adopted country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Africans prefer meat and especially beef as a first choice protein source. So I started to experiment with drying meat and joined efforts with a butcher with more than forty years\u2019 experience. He taught me the art of de-boning, fileting and cleaning. I got shown which part of the animal gets used for what purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also I learnt how to make sausages, the correct working methods, curing temperatures plus the highest standards of hygiene.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It came naturally to me to start experimenting more and more with South African biltong and dro\u00ebwors. We were having fun while creating some of the most tasty, delicious biltong and dro\u00ebwors batches. I was starting to live my dream and the butcher needed no encouragement to experiment with different methods and spices. We got to a wonderful taste of biltong – we were ready to start sampling and tasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By now I was a happy South African in Munich, motivated to supply top quality products to South Africans living in Germany as well as to introduce the taste of good quality biltong and dro\u00ebwors to the meat loving people of Germany and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With creation of some warm South African sunshine products \u201clove goes through their stomachs\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some profound German meat and sausage lovers\/travellers are already starting to show more and more interest in our biltong and dro\u00ebwors introducing it as a snack or real \u201cBrotzeit\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
